This summer I have been obsessed with iced tea. Okay, maybe not quite as much as our beloved Susan who has opinions on the matter (although, for the record, I totally agree with her!), but hot summer day after hot summer day, it’s been the chilled-out drink I’ve been craving. And, you know, I’m always looking for fun new twists on my faves — especially if they involve superfoods. So when a recipe for iced mint tea with chia seeds from Nutiva and Numi Organic Tea (two companies we’ve reviewed before — see here and here!) landed in the FBE inbox, I had to share!
After all, nothing says summer like iced tea, nothing is more refreshing than mint, and nothing is more fun than chia seeds. Well, margaritas might be more fun, but you know what we mean. Chia seeds are a rich source of protein, antioxidants, essential omega-3 fatty acids and fiber — plus they’re fun to eat. Or drink.
Okay, enough rambling … just try this iced mint tea with chia seeds!
